A great wall of latex, a body that builds, destroys, and rebuilds itself, exploring its identity and the limits that define it. A body suspended in elastic bands that challenge a technique, a craft, and a being. An act of resistance to break what is imposed and not chosen, and what is chosen but no longer desired. Who are we, and what keeps us from changing?

Biography

Born in Argentina, Elis Valente trained as a circus artist, specializing in aerial acrobatics. She earned her degree as a professor of Dance-Body Expression at the Universidad de Artes de Buenos Aires and completed her studies with various other movement arts.

She performed as a member of the dance group DanzAbismal, dedicated to research, experimentation, and the production of performative interventions in unconventional spaces. In 2019, she co-founded the company Anexo23 with Meme Canziani, with whom she creates the piece PVC (C2H3Cl)n. She is currently directing her own company, with which she created her own show: Tensión.
