SCANDALE

Rope, silk, static trapeze, ceiling walk

On stage, the fall of a trapeze artist mid-performance shatters our certainties. A symbolic fall that questions how scandal works: its ties to transgression, power, morality, and the watching eye. SCANDALE unravels the norm by approaching shock not as something to distrust, but as something to be curious about: an encounter with otherness.

Biography

La Norma was founded in 2025 to develop projects exploring performance spaces in constant dialogue with the realities of the world. Sofia Zambrano and Martina Monnicchi are aerial artists, while Karine Saroh holds a PhD in Performing Arts from the University of Toulouse. They met in 2019 at Ésacto’Lido, brought together by a shared interest in experimentation and the political potential of art.
