The programme offers a unique opportunity to immerse in the local ecosystems of contemporary circus and outdoor arts, build international connections, and discover a vibrant artistic scene beyond Europe.
Through a journey across Guadalajara, Zapopan and Mexico City, participants will discover local artistic practices, engage with cultural professionals, and gain a deeper understanding of the dynamics shaping the Mexican contemporary circus and outdoor arts scene. Taking place during the DĂa de los Muertos period, the programme will also offer a unique perspective on one of Mexico’s most emblematic cultural celebrations, where artistic expression, collective memory and public space come together in vibrant and meaningful ways.
Â
The journey will begin in Jalisco - Guadalajara and Zapopan - with the Zapopan International Circus Festival and the International Circus Professionals Meeting, before continuing to Mexico City for FICA Pro. The programme will conclude with an exploration of public space activation through the arts, curated by Culturans in coordination with the 2Gaither project site visit in Mexico.Â
