Static trapeze, contorsion, dance
Blending a photography exhibition with a circus performance, Eliška Brtnická invites audiences to explore the emotions a photographer experiences when capturing a fleeting moment—particularly those of her brother, Vojtěch. In photographing performances, he has developed his own set of principles: no flash, no post-production, remaining invisible and unnoticed, simply capturing the moment as it unfolds.
In the age of smartphones, perhaps we see the world around us through the frame of an already composed image, constantly searching for the perfect angle. Yet there are so many possible perspectives that their very relativity can be dizzying… What is the body's point of view? In this performance, the artist invites the audience to choose their own "photographs" as they move through an immersive world of visual and performative experiences.
